FILM GRANTS

The Gograha provides one-year time bound grants awarded to at least three filmmakers per year with the objective of enabling them to convert their deserving scripts into films. These filmmakers preferably will be a new practitioner in the field of filmmaking, who represents new and diverse sensibilities, and s/he will be the product of the Film Workshop. The support, we believe, is crucial, provided there is the lack of financing, including that from the state, and there is also the short fall of international co-production. There is also the dearth of promoting young talents and critical ideas. The filmmaking grants aims to meet these gaps.
